NORTH East manufacturer, Apex Wiring Solutions, has boosted growth plans with a new recruit to enhance plant processes and distribution.
Operations Manager, Alessandra Cantarone, 37, decided to swap the world of academia for the world of business after obtaining a series of university qualifications both in Italy and the UK, earning a fantastic reputation in over ten years working in manufacturing.
Originally from Puglia in Italy, Alex has a bachelors and first master’s degree in Civil engineering. Her time studying at Bari University saw her acquire the necessary theory to put into practice after securing a position as a graduate engineer on an internship programme for women in engineering at Bosch.
Progressing to complete a second master’s in the UK in engineering project management, Alex worked her way up to planning and logistics manager at TT Electronics, before three years as a plant production manager at Mowden Controls.
Alex said: “I’ve worked in this industry all my adult life and I’m excited to be a part of this incredible company. I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen so far, but I’m looking to make us even more successful, efficient and further cultivate our culture of excellence.
“Apex has helped revolutionise the construction and development sector, thanks to its innovative plug and play modular systems, regularly securing large-scale contracts and building a long-held reputation as one of the best offsite manufacturers within the construction industry.
“My role is to enhance our global standing even further and I can’t wait to get my teeth into this fantastic new role.”
